Answer

Everyone gets the same question and writes their answer in secret. Nobody can see what anyone else has written yet.

Step 2 of 4

Switch

The answers come back with no names on them. You can take one for yourself or keep your own, and if two people reach for the same one, neither of them gets it.

Step 3 of 4

Vote

Now the board shows every answer, who wrote it, and who ended up holding it. The room talks it over and votes for the one that deserves to win.

Step 4 of 4

Crown

Whoever is holding the winning answer takes the crown, even when somebody else wrote it. That is usually the point where the arguing starts.
