These terms cover your use of the Nabbed app. By playing, you agree to them.
What Nabbed is
Nabbed is a party game for people in the same room. Everyone answers the same question, one player may swap answers with somebody else, and the room votes. The app supplies the questions. The players supply everything else.
Your content is yours, and it is your responsibility
The answers you type are written by you, not by us.
- You are responsible for what you write.
- Do not write anything unlawful, or anything that harasses, threatens or abuses another person.
- Do not write hate speech, or content that targets people for who they are.
- Do not write another person's private information.
Because answers are passed to other players, assume that anything you type will be read aloud by somebody else.
Moderation
Nabbed includes a filter intended to stop hate slurs appearing on other players' screens. No filter catches everything, and we do not warrant that it will. It is the only content the app itself attempts to withhold.
Beyond that, the room is responsible for its own tone. Nabbed is designed for a private group who chose to play together, and it does not connect you to strangers.
If someone writes something objectionable:
- Tap Report on the answer. It is hidden on your screen and the host is notified.
- The host can remove that player from the room.
- You can leave the room at any time.
Reports are handled inside your room, on your own devices. We do not receive them, because the app has no server, and we are not able to moderate, remove or intervene in a game. You may contact us at the address below, but we do not undertake to respond to, investigate or act on any particular message.
Age
You must be 13 or older to use Nabbed. Players create the content, and that content is not filtered for suitability, so the game may not be appropriate for younger players.
We are not responsible for what players write
This is the most important part of these terms, so it is written plainly.
Nabbed supplies questions. Players supply every answer. We do not write, select, review, receive, store or moderate anything a player types, and we have no technical ability to do so, because answers travel directly between phones and never reach us.
You accept that:
- Other players may write things you find offensive, upsetting, untrue, rude or inappropriate.
- We are not responsible or liable for anything a player writes, says, records, shares or does, whether inside the app or afterwards.
- We are not responsible for how players treat each other, during a game or outside it.
- We are not responsible for any offence, embarrassment, dispute, fallout, loss or harm arising from content created by players.
- You choose who you play with. Nabbed does not connect you to strangers, and you can leave a room at any time.
You are solely responsible for the answers you write and for how you behave towards the other people in the room.
You cover us for what you write
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss, liability or cost, including reasonable legal fees, brought by anyone and arising from content you wrote, from your conduct during a game, or from your breach of these terms.
What we do not promise
Nabbed is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted or error free, that phones will always find each other on every network, or that a saved game will always be recoverable.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, profits, reputation or goodwill, arising from or connected to your use of the app or to content written by other players. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app, which for a free download is nothing.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Things you should not do
- Do not attempt to break, reverse engineer or interfere with the app or with other players' devices.
- Do not use Nabbed to break the law.
Ending
You may stop using Nabbed at any time by deleting it. We may change, suspend or stop offering the app, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice, and we are not liable to you for doing so.
We do not undertake to provide support, updates, fixes or continued availability.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer is established, without regard to conflict of law rules.
