Privacy Policy

Nabbed is a party game you play with people in the same room. It has no accounts, no servers and no analytics. This policy explains exactly what happens to information when you play.
The short version
We do not collect your data. Nothing you type in Nabbed is sent to us, because there is nowhere to send it. There is no Nabbed server.
What stays on your phone
Nabbed saves a small amount of information on your own device so the game works:
- The name you choose to play under.
- Your sound and haptics settings.
- A game in progress, so closing the app does not end the game. The app is designed to clear this when the game finishes, when you leave, or after about three hours.
- Recent questions, so the same one is not asked twice in a sitting.
- If you turn on "Remember rivalries", the names of players and who switched with whom in recent games. This is names only, it stays on your phone, and the app is designed to clear it after about four months. You can erase it yourself at any time in Settings.
None of this is transmitted anywhere. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
What travels between phones
When you play with other people, your phones talk to each other directly over your local Wi-Fi or Bluetooth using Apple's MultipeerConnectivity. During a game the following is sent to the other phones in your room:
- The name you are playing under.
- The answers you write.
- Your switches and votes.
This traffic goes device to device. It does not pass through a server we control, and we never receive or store it. Other players see your answers, because that is the game.
Answers are written by players, not by us
Every answer in Nabbed is typed by a player. We do not write it, choose it, see it, store it or moderate it, and we have no way to, because it never reaches us.
We are not responsible for what players write, for what other players do with it, or for anything that happens as a result. The people in your room are responsible for what they type and say.
If something in a game concerns you, the Report action on an answer hides it on your screen and notifies the host, who can remove whoever wrote it. You can also leave a room at any time.
What we never do
- We do not collect, store or transmit personal information.
- We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind.
- We do not use third-party SDKs.
- We do not know who you are, that you installed the app, or that you played.
Children
Nabbed is not directed at children under 13. Players write their own answers, and those answers can be anything the room decides, so we do not recommend it for younger players.
Your control
Everything Nabbed stores is on your device. To remove it: use "Forget all" in Settings to clear remembered rivalries, or delete the app to remove everything.
Local network permission
iOS asks for permission to find phones nearby the first time you host or join a room. Nabbed uses this only to connect to other players in the same room. Declining it means you can still play on one phone.
Changes
This policy may change. The version shown in the app and on the website is the current one, and the date at the top shows when it was last updated. Continuing to use Nabbed after a change means the updated policy applies.
