How to play
Four sentences, then you are playing.
A round
- Answer. Everyone gets the same question, in secret.
- Switch. The answers come back with no names. Take one, or keep yours.
- Blocked. Two people reach for the same answer, neither gets it.
- Vote. The room talks it over and votes.
Best rounds and worst rounds
You are told which before you answer.
- Best. Whoever ends up holding the winning answer takes the crown.
- Worst. Whoever is stuck holding the loser gets nothing, and whoever stuck them with it takes the crown.
That flip is the whole game. In a worst round, handing the right person the wrong answer beats writing anything clever.
Things that turn up
- Player questions. Sometimes a player writes the question. Inside jokes become rounds.
- The Final Switch. Nobody may keep their own answer, and the crown is worth double.
- Rivalries. The app remembers who keeps switching with whom, and says so.
The reveal
Answers are anonymous while you write and switch. Once everybody has picked, the board puts the names back on — who wrote what, and who is holding it now. Then you vote.
Setting up
- Three to nine players on the same Wi-Fi, or with Bluetooth on.
- The host reads out a four-letter code. Everyone else types it in.
- One phone only? Tap Pass one phone around and add names. It hands off between turns.
